About
Jennifer completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2006. In the final year of her studies she lived in China for 3 months and undertook a clinical internship at the China Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing.
Jennifer has a special interest in Women’s health, which has been increased by her own experience carrying and raising her healthy fraternal twin girls born in 2017.
Jen’s graduate year interest study project at UTS was in facial rejuvenation/cosmetic acupuncture. A year after graduating from Uni, she completed a diploma in Remedial Massage at Randwick TAFE in order to add the therapeutic touch of massage to her acupuncture, cupping, and moxibustion treatments. She loves to combine cosmetic acupuncture, facial cupping, gua sha, and facial massage to provide a holistic beauty package.
She has been practicing acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, and remedial massage in the eastern suburbs of Sydney since 2007. Jennifer has worked with osteopaths, chiropractors, beauty therapists, physiotherapists, and podiatrists.
Jennifer believes in the importance of validating and furthering the field of Chinese medicine with good quality research, which led her to begin undertaking a masters degree in health science, acupuncture research in 2016. These studies were put on hold with the arrival of the twins, yet the passion for research in TCM remains. On her non-clinic days, Jen edits medical research from China, with a portion of the research comprising cutting-edge Chinese medical innovations.
Outside of Chinese medicine practice, Jennifer loves walking to her local Bondi Beach with her wife and daughters (and newest baby due in August ‘23), cooking, dancing (moves have gotten much less cool with motherhood), and road tripping in the family Winnebago. At home and in practice, Jennifer strives towards minimal environmental impact and maximising joy.
